Mission Peak Capital announced today the appointment of Rebecca Hill as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Hill will begin her employment on December 9, 2019. She will be based out of Mission Peak Capital’s global headquarters in Kansas City, MO.

Ms. Hill joins Mission Peak Capital with broad experience in corporate and operational finance,  most recently as Chief Financial Officer for two Berkshire Hathaway entities where she was responsible for both entity’s audits, forecasting, budgeting and corporate risk programs. Ms. Hill has built a broad Real Estate expertise over her 20 year career.

Ms. Hill’s Bio

Rebecca has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience.  She holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of St. Mary, an MBA from the University of Kansas and is a Certified Public Accountant.  Rebecca began her career as a controller for a general contractor that focused on multi-family projects.  She later joined Arthur Andersen as a staff accountant working in both the audit and tax departments where her primary client was a large, national real estate developer and a local family office.

After taking a career break to raise her family, Rebecca joined Trammell Crow Company as a broker for office and industrial properties and also served as financial manager for an instrumental project management contract. Following the CBRE/Trammell Crow merger, Rebecca joined Capital Realty as controller.  At Capital, Rebecca designed a system of internal controls and accounting processes to help win and secure property management contracts for institutional clients.  Rebecca left Capital Realty to become CFO of Briarcliff Development Company, a 600,000 sf mixed-use Class A development located in Kansas City.  At Briarcliff, Rebecca helped build the property management team, completed a system conversion, implemented a $92MM debt restructure while managing all financial and TIF compliance as well as the banking, insurance and family office relationships.

Rebecca later joined Nolan Real Estate Services and KC Venture Group serving as CFO of both entities.  NRES was an owner/operator of 6,000 multi-family units and with another 1,000 fee managed units over a four-state region.  KCVG was the investment arm of NRES.  At NRES, Rebecca was responsible for the annual audit, all forecasting and budgeting, managed the corporate risk program and initiated another system conversion.

Rebecca holds a real estate broker license in Missouri and a real estate salesperson license in Kansas.  She is Past Chair of the Clay County Economic Development Council and a current member of the Metro Chapter of CPAs and the Kansas Society of CPAs.
